Every year, the committee organises events to raise funds for a Grotto on the Fairland. This is a free event provided to ensure the Families and Children from Hingham and surrounding area are able to visit Santa regardless of their circumstances.
The event is self-funded by the committee volunteers who spend the year organising fund raising events.
The support from Stuart Group Ltd making a financial donation last year, and the free use of the Lighting Tower from Stuart Power Ltd to light the area have been very much appreciated.
This is the first year we have held the event in the evening, and the Lighting Tower enabled a safe and happy event to take place by lighting up the entry area and food stalls for all.
